  • Description

Nautilus Light is a carefully crafted Riverbed inspired by the natural habitats of waterbodies around the world as the Malawi Lake in Africa or the karst streams of Bonito, Brazil. It is composed of pale sands and crus shells, plus a mix of small, medium, and large shells that provide a natural and realistic look for your aquarium.

Lake Malawi is a breathtakingly beautiful body of water located in East Africa. It is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant array of cichlid fish, and stunning underwater landscapes. The lake's underwater world is a mesmerizing tapestry of colors and shapes, filled with a diverse array of aquatic plants, rock formations, and sandy substrates.

Our Nautilus Light Riverbed was inspired by the underwater world of Lake Malawi, featuring a blend of light-colored sands and crushed shells that mimic the sandy substrate found in the lake. This Riverbed creates a natural and realistic look in your aquarium and is perfect for recreating the unique environment of Lake Malawi, where many fishes use shells as shelters and to build nests. It can be combined with our enrichment line Shell Shelter Normal and XL.

The karst streams of Bonito, Brazil are known for their crystal-clear waters and unique underwater landscape. These streams run through limestone formations, creating a maze of underwater caves, crevices, and tunnels that are home to a variety of aquatic species.

The rocks and limestone formations in the streams create a natural habitat for snails, shrimps, and other invertebrates that thrive in this environment. The water in these streams is also rich in minerals, providing a healthy environment for plants and animals.

Our Nautilus Light Riverbed is inspired by this unique underwater landscape, featuring a mix of light sand, crushed shells, and gravels that create a natural and realistic look for your aquarium or terrarium. The bed is ideal for creating biotopes of karst streams, African cichlids and other aquatic environments, and can benefit fishes and invertebrates that thrive in such habitats.

Nautilus Light is available in bags of 2kg and 5kg, and the size mix ranges from 0.1cm to 5cm. The substrate is suitable for any type of aquarium or terrarium design and provides a unique and natural touch to your aquatic environment.

Made with 100% natural materials, Nautilus Light is a non-toxic choice for your aquarium decor. It does affect water hardness and is easy to manipulate and spread in your aquarium.
